About the Presenter:

Scott Stramyk is an experienced professional photographer and educator that has seen him work with industry leading brands and travel all around the globe over the last decade. Scott is know as the go to "Camera Guru" from his earlier years of managing Canon Professional Services (CPS) and to his years as a Canon Ambassador. His love for capturing memories through photography and passion for sharing his knowledge is what sets him apart from the rest of the crowd. With over 1000+ events under his belt, his teaching style is informative, fun and inspiring. He has a way of adapting his tuition from beginners to professionals fluidly without hesitation.

“ Join Scott Stramyk for dance photography workshop focused on harnessing light to better create compelling and emotive photos with studio lighting.

This workshop is designed for any photographer that wants to take their dance photography up a level.

Scott will take you through a detailed look at what makes a great photo and how we can enhance that image in-camera with different creative techniques. He will be showcasing a range of techniques and introducing you to some new toys to create exciting atmosphere in your photos. This will be a live demonstration with a ballerina while also giving you the time to put those techniques to the test in this jam packed 2 hour workshop.

Topics covered:

• Reading and understanding natural and studio light

• Creative composition

• Working with movement

• Posing and working with your subject to get the best reactions and angles

• How to mix available light and Off-camera flash to bring the scene to life

 

 

Recommended equipment:

You will need a camera with your favourite lens and an eagerness to learn.
