Weekend Program & Ticket Information

Saturday 7th September 2024

Exhibition, Q&A and Awards Dinner – $75 per person

Venue: The Remington, 1517 Forest Road Orange

9:30am – 11:00am – Competition print entries to be delivered to The Remington

12:00 midday – welcome and light lunch

12:30pm – “What Judges Look For” – Don Munro (NSW FCC)

1:15pm – “Finding Your Voice in Photography” – Grant Swinbourne (landscape photographer www.grantswinbournephotography.com)

2.30pm – Q&A Panel – Scott Stramyk (the competition judge and keynote speaker), Grant Swinbourne and Don Munro will host an interactive session to discuss the competition entries. All attendees are encouraged to participate, ask questions and learn from each other.

3:30pm – Afternoon tea

4:00pm – Overview of Sunday workshops

4:30pm – Finish. Attendees can relax at the Remington or take the opportunity to take some photographs at the reserves nearby before reconvening for dinner.

6:00pm – Dinner at The Remington – partners are welcome at an additional cost of $38.00

7:00pm – “Lighting, People and Movement” – Scott Stramyk (Australian photographer www.scottstramyk.com)

8:30pm – Western District Association of Camera Clubs competition winners announced

9:30pm – Close

Sunday 8th September 2024

Photographic Workshop – $25 per person

8:00-10:00am – Workshop with Scott Stramyk at a local dance studio learning about photographing light and movement in a live demonstration with ballerinas (included in ticket price). Bring your camera to participate.

8:00-10:00am – Workshop with Nigel Sethack at Spring Creek Reserve photographing the abundant birdlife (included in ticket price). Entrance gate is accessed via the southern end of the Lone Pine Avenue. Maps will be provided. Bring your camera to participate.

10:30am: Coffee at Nile Street Cafe to say our goodbyes – at your own cost

Ticket Price: Saturday $75 per person includes lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, Saturday presentations

Sunday workshops $25 per person

Additional tickets to attend the dinner are available at a cost of $38.00. Please make a bank transfer to BSB: 802-129 ACC: 100107188, using your name (and club name if applicable) as a reference. No refunds will be given after 30 August 2024.

NOTE: You do not need to enter the competition to participate in the weekend events.

What is not included:

Accommodation, travel to and from venue or workshops, drinks at lunch and dinner, meals and coffee/tea at morning tea on Sunday, dinner for partners on Saturday night ($38 pp additional)
